The person in the interview is not the person who signs the contract. Once interviews moved to video, that stopped being a thought experiment and became a matter of opportunity.

And nothing survives the call. When it ends you have a calendar entry and your notes. Anyone who later disputes what happened is disputing a memory.

Software does not settle this. What it can do is write down what was measured, and that writing down is what counts when the question comes up.

A record exists only if you switch it on when creating the room, and it is kept for 180 days. That number is worked out, not guessed: under German law a discrimination claim in hiring must be raised in writing within two months, and only then does the three-month court deadline start. The two run one after the other, so five months in total. A record that vanishes before that is gone the first time anyone asks for it.

What the check does not do

These sentences appear in every record, word for word. They appear here too, because a sales page that claims more than the software delivers gets disproved by that same software at the first serious evaluation.

The check does not guarantee that it will detect deepfakes or establish a person's identity.
Client-derived light and voice values and server-observed transport data are non-attesting: they describe the measurement conditions, but do not confirm authenticity.
The prepared server-side pixel analysis has not yet been approved for production. The current production path therefore produces no attested authenticity verdict; “not measurable” is likewise not proof of authenticity.
“Not measurable” is not an accusation. It means nothing could be measured: camera off, the page not in the foreground, a frame rate too low, missed measuring windows, no stable baseline, too few samples, or camera image unavailable.

The record itself is written in German. These sentences are a reading aid; the German wording in the document is the one that counts.

What is left is less than some vendors promise, and worth more: the service tells you whether anything could be measured at all. In an interview, “not measurable” is an answer that carries weight.

How it runs

Create a room, switch the record on, send the link. Your candidate needs no account and installs nothing.
Before joining, they are told a record is being kept. That is a precondition, not a courtesy.
During the call the screen sends a light pattern; the camera has to show the reflection in the same instant.
Afterwards the record sits in your account, ready to read and to print.

Where all of this runs

Servers in Germany, operated by Datargo GmbH. No tracking, no advertising cookies, no analytics services. If you collect data about people who never chose your vendor, you should be able to say where it sits.

What it costs

Without a plan, a call stops after 30 minutes. Interviews rarely fit into that.
