Video calls that question the picture. Instant and free.

A recorded video passes every visual check: a band of light travels across your guest’s screen and shows whether the camera answers.

From the invitation, or a fixed room name.

Counter-check: live camera against played-back footage

The picture does not answer

Same person, same band of light: a live camera on the left, the same footage played back on the right. Only the left picture answers.Staged in the browser, not a reading from a call. The notice on the right means the answer did not arrive; it does not mean anything is fake. The face is AI-generated; nobody is depicted.

No account, nothing to install, right in the browser. For client calls, hiring and dealings with public authorities, on servers in Germany, with thirteen answers about law and data.

Preselected: you see whether each picture could be measured; the call then runs through our server in Germany, without end-to-end encryption.

The waiting room is off: anyone with the link walks straight in. Switch it on and guests wait until you let them in.

Free, 30 minutes per call. A minute before the end everyone is warned, then the room closes. Without a time limit: Pro plan.

The view during a call

WeiResponse measured
Example view: six participants, the light check is running. The badge belongs to the measurement, not the person. All four states are laid out here for illustration; this is not a measured rate. On narrow screens the product shortens the badge to “Status”. The faces are AI-generated; nobody is depicted.

How a job interview runs: from the invitation to the meeting log

How your guest gets in.

Three steps, none of them on our side. Your guest needs no account, downloads nothing and confirms nothing. With the light check running, their screen briefly lights up twice; there is nothing for them to do.

  1. Tap the link

From an email, a chat or a calendar entry. The room opens in the browser the device already has.

  2. Allow camera and microphone

The browser asks once; tapping Allow is enough. Anyone who declines by accident re-enables camera and microphone in the browser settings.

  3. Enter a name and join

The same screen says what the room is running and what that means: light check, waiting room, log. Anyone who would rather not can simply not join.

What the room can do.

Moderation, waiting room, chat: in the browser, and on the phone nearly the same.

  • Share a screen or a window from a computer. Everyone can watch, on iPhone and iPad too.
  • Up to 16 participants per room
  • Runs in current browsers on desktop and phone, no app and no extension
  • Waiting room, with the moderation team admitting guests
  • If the moderator leaves the room, their rights pass on to the next person automatically
  • Chat, including private messages to individual participants
  • Presentation mode: only the presenter sends video and audio
  • Raised hands and reactions
  • Switch camera and microphone at any time, and the speaker wherever the browser allows it
  • Email invitations straight from the running call

Two signals, one measurement.

The light check sends a band of light that crosses the screens in the room in 1.4 to 2.2 seconds, twice per check; color, duration, pause and direction are random. What gets measured is the answer in the camera image plus voice acoustics, weighted 62 to 38 percent. Anyone who stays silent or has the microphone off gets no result.

Measured

Diagram: the band of light sent above, the brightness measured in the camera image below.

Two passes, color and direction random. This is what your guest gets on their screen during a call. Measuring needs a camera and a microphone.

  • The direction is the secret

Without knowing which side the light comes from, the shading cannot be computed in advance.

  • Measured on your device

The camera image is searched for exactly that change, at the right moment. The two halves are split along the face where the browser knows where it sits; as a rule it does not and splits down the middle instead. That carries less, and anyone sitting off-centre is measured worse.

  • What has been computed so far

A spoof that only imitates brightness failed in all 500 computed sessions. Computed, not on real cameras: that series is still outstanding.

What the measurement says. And what it does not.

In a job interview that means: next to the picture you see whether a measurement was possible, and you can ask. What you conclude from it is up to you.

The badge in the room

Measurement running
No result yet.
Response measured
The camera picture answered the light band. This is not an identity proof.
Measurement notice
No answer came back. The host is told the measurement is in doubt; a person decides.
Not measurable
Camera off, page in the background, frame rate too low. Anyone who only listens ends up here, not at the measurement notice.

If that is more than you want to explain to your guest, clear the checkbox when creating the room; then nothing is measured and nothing appears next to the pictures.

  1. During the call you see whether the other side’s picture answers the band of light that was sent, and you can ask, instead of never finding out.
  2. It does not detect deepfakes and does not establish anyone’s identity.
  3. The measurement is not a selection criterion: it does not justify a rejection. In the log it appears as a technical note about the call; you switch the log on per room or leave it off.
  4. Only people who know beforehand are measured. Anyone who would rather not can leave the camera off; and the host can leave the light check out from the start.

Privacy policy, section 5

The meeting log.

With an account, a room can keep a meeting log: who was present when, and what was measured, not what was said. It is announced beforehand, not afterwards.

Contract, law and data.

Thirteen questions that come before any contract, twelve with their source in the legal texts; the thirteenth does not have one yet.

Who you are dealing with

Contracting party
Datargo GmbH, business address Frankfurt am Main, Germany, registered office in the district of Amtsgericht Friedberg, HRB 9742.Legal notice
Governing law and venue
German law applies. Businesses and public bodies can book; the place of jurisdiction is Frankfurt am Main.Terms of use, section 11
Supervisory authority

Where the data sits

Servers
Our servers are located in Germany.Privacy policy, section 9
Transmission
Every call starts as a direct connection between the browsers, encrypted in transit. With the light check, a director view for broadcast software, a recording, or from the fourth person on, the room runs through our conference server in Germany; transport encryption ends there, and without a recording nothing is stored. There is no end-to-end encryption.Privacy policy, section 4.1
Data processing
Data processing agreement under Art. 28 GDPR on request, for everyone who uses noacall as a controller for their own appointments: you remain the controller, we process on your instructions.Terms of use, section 8Request a data processing agreement
Outside scripts
No trackers, no advertising cookies, no third-party fonts. This page loads nothing that reports you to a third party. Exactly one script comes from another host: the support chat from crm.datargo.com, a service run by the same Datargo GmbH. On the legal pages and during a call, not even that one loads.Privacy policy, section 2

What is measured and stored

What the check transmits
The light check measures in your browser and sends us only derived numbers, no image and no audio. For your camera image itself, see the row “Recording”.Privacy policy, section 5
Recording
Recording starts only once everyone in the room has agreed, stays visible to all, and stops the moment anyone withdraws. Without a recording, no image and no audio is stored.Privacy policy, section 4.4
Who turns the check and the log on
The host, per room, when creating it: the light check is preselected and can be deselected, the log is opted in; a free account is enough for it. Anyone joining sees beforehand whether the light check is on and whether a log is kept, what goes into it and what does not, and can decline to join. Only the account that created the room can retrieve the log.Privacy policy, section 4.5
Retention
Recordings are deleted automatically 30 days after they started, logs after 180 days. Both can be deleted sooner at any time; without a recording and without a log, nothing is there to delete.Privacy policy, section 10

Deadlines and open points

How long a room lasts
A room nobody has entered yet waits 24 hours. Once the last person leaves, it closes two minutes later; anyone who hangs up by accident gets back in with the same link during that window. After that the link leads nowhere. For appointments further ahead, the Pro plan holds the room until it starts and sends the invitation as a calendar file.Terms of use, section 4
Accessibility
There is no audited accessibility statement yet. The text contrast on this page is measured against WCAG 2.2 AA, keyboard operation and visible focus are tested; an independent audit is still outstanding. Report a barrier and we will fix it.Report a barrier
